Story

In 1958, on an island beyond the North Sea, a tournament of deduction is hosted by the last of a once-defunct criminal enterprise. Invited are an assortment of personalities that find there are few strangers amongst them, but all are promised a solitary reward for the eventual winner: "No wish will go ungranted". However, the specialized device each player now wears is used not only to participate in the game but compel them toward revelations none expect.

A drifter with no memory of his past, "Dorian" is only the name sewn into the label of a coat donated by a passerby. For some years—the amount of which he isn't sure—he has wandered from town to town occupying himself with the scenery. Through one of a few desperate encounters, he discovered a reflexive gift for handling firearms but little else. Upon receiving an invitation by courier to the tournament, he found stitches of his past hemmed into its ranks from the onset. Among the two participants considering his face a familiar one is a fugitive from justice and disgraced veteran who refers to Dorian as "the most dangerous man in London." His participation in the game comes with the promise that, should he emerge the sole victor, his full history and identity will at last be revealed.
